Install Plugin

How to install and activate the RankWriting WordPress plugin.

The RankWriting WordPress plugin is the bridge between your site and the RankWriting service. It handles authentication and content publishing.

Download

Download the latest official .zip file from the WordPress Plugin download page. The plugin is not yet listed in WordPress.org search, so install it using the upload method below.

Option A — Upload via WordPress admin (recommended)

  1. Log in to your WordPress admin
  2. Go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin
  3. Select the downloaded .zip file and click Install Now
  4. Click Activate Plugin once installation completes

Option B — Manual FTP install

  1. Unzip the downloaded file to get the rankwriting/ folder
  2. Upload the folder to /wp-content/plugins/ via FTP or your host's file manager
  3. Go to Plugins → Installed Plugins in WordPress and activate RankWriting

After activation

After activating, go to Settings → RankWriting and paste your Connect Token to complete the site connection. See Connect WordPress for the full flow.

Plugin updates

Check the WordPress Plugin download page for the latest release. Automatic updates through WordPress.org are not available yet.
