Install Plugin

The RankWriting WordPress plugin is the bridge between your site and the RankWriting service. It handles authentication and content publishing.

Download

Go to RankWriting Dashboard → Sites → Add site → Download Plugin to get the latest .zip file.

Option A — Upload via WordPress admin (recommended)

1. ·Log in to your WordPress admin
2. ·Go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin
3. ·Select the downloaded .zip file and click Install Now
4. ·Click Activate Plugin once installation completes

Option B — Manual FTP install

1. ·Unzip the downloaded file to get the rankwriting/ folder
2. ·Upload the folder to /wp-content/plugins/ via FTP or your host's file manager
3. ·Go to Plugins → Installed Plugins in WordPress and activate RankWriting

After activation

After activating, go to Settings → RankWriting and paste your Connect Token to complete the site connection. See Connect WordPress for the full flow.

Plugin updates

When a new version is available, WordPress will show an update prompt in your admin. Keeping the plugin up to date is recommended to get the latest features and security fixes.
